You've gotta ask yourself. If this much HP could be added so cheap, why didn't Toyota already do it in the factory? Answer: It's a load of crap. My friend bought one of these *speed chips* off ebay, and to install it, you need to remove a chip from your ECU. What do you replace it with? One resistor. Basically you turn a smart management system into a constant. Not a good idea. No he definitely did not put it in his car.

Yup, it's a resistor. I've never heard of having to remove your ECU, though. The ones I've always seen involve putting the resistor inline with the IAT sensor, so the ECU thinks it's running cold and richens up the fuel mixture. On modern cars they don't work worth crap, and eventually the ECU may realized there's something wrong with the sensor and enter limp mode.
