Almost of an oxymoron if you think about it, but I guess the same could be said for a yaris - except you can get a yaris and put 10 grand in it and still come out cheaper than a stock prius. I guess what I'm saying is, if you bought a car to save gas, and thus save money, why spend more money on it? Then again if you have to keep your prius for 15 years to match the money spent on a yaris, I guess you should make it as nice and plush as possible.

In the end though its your money, and that's a nice looking prius.

Why would VIP style mean sucky MPG?
All he did that may effect the cars MPG is the wheels. And they didnt even go huge on them, they are forged, so probably not that heavy, and not chrome, so further more not as heavy.
I'm sure some priuses came with leather interior, so scratch that off your list, and the bumpers are different yes, but not overly huge causing more wind resistance.
If anything he may have increased gas milage slightly or kept it the same by lowering the car and cutting through wind better, iono.
