P0327 Knock Sensor low input

Can anyone shed some light on what's involved to remedy this code?
Was accelerating from a stop. Noticed some knocking (first time). On comes the Engine light.
I've scanned it and found P0327, cleared it and it immediately lights the engine light again. Car seemed sluggish after. May have gone into a limp home mode??? I'll take a look for lose wires etc in the morning.

That code indicates that the knock sensor has failed or the wiring to it has. The ECM will remain in fail-safe mode until it is resolved.

It is kind of buried. It is a round sensor with black and white wires that go to green and red wires on the harness after its connector. It is located on the front of the block about 2" to the right of and 2" up from the thermostat housing. I can't remember if you can get it off without removing the intake manifold.
