water collecting in driver side rear footwell

I noticed some moisture on the carpet in the back driver's side footwell. Thought a bottle of water had spilled so i soaked it with a towel. Well, the water keeps coming. We took out the carpet to dry and the sound padding underneath. Smells terrible, moldy I's sure. Anyone had this problem? Drain plugs all look good.

There are two round rubber plugs under the floor of the car in that area that should be installed by the dealer when the car arrives from Japan. They may never have gotten installed or that one may have fallen out. If you look underneath the car you will either see the plug or see the bottom of the carpet padding.
