K&N drop in is good too, and it keeps the cops from snooping around (:

Had mine for a week ...found that it effected the low end to much also even with a cover over filter on heavy rain days filter would be wet sounds cool but way to many negative problem's to justify use ...back to short intake and way better .

I've never tried the CAI, I have a TRD CAI that I modified to make it a SRI and I've never noticed a loss of low end when I installed it. That being said I installed it and then put my DC header on the next day so tough to determine low end torque loss since the header tend to increase low end torque.

All that said, the sound is awesome. When I push it to 6k rpm on the highway the growl under the hood in front of the drivers seat is awesome...makes me smile every time

that's strange that the manufacture (injen) has dyno sheets showing performance gains when people claim to loose low end torque.
I just ordered the SP2024p I think, but mine will be installed with a 1zz tb so it will be better than stock anyways...

I just received it. it looks nice. it has 3 steps of "downsizing" and it looks like the part near the filter might have a taper to it before it steps down to the maf port. it looks to be a port match to the throttle body as it is much smaller than the 1zz throttle body, but
the coupler will stretch over the lip so it can be installed without purchasing a different one.

remember this is a 1zz throttle body!

I have installed this today. sounds great!!!
last weekend did a run from Denver to Vail with stock everything, including filter.
96 miles +3000 ft.elevation
tomorrow I will be going on the same route. I will report on my opinion of injen intake only install.
I am waiting to install the 1zz throttle body until the outside temp is above 60F so I can properly set the idle screw, then I will give a report on that as well.

I never reported... oops.
this intake has been installed for 2 months now.
it feels great. has some loss of low end torque at first, but computer has compensated by now and it feels really nice. great sound. top end fees a lot better.
still haven't installed 1zz TB due to winter....
