You have one solid choice: JUN
Other than that you will get what you pay for. Regrinds for street use = time bomb. Especially after looking around and have found no one with any real reliable proof for regrinds on the 1nz-fe. Ferrea has complete valve train with springs lockers and seats that work for high rpm and new cams. The JUN cams are built to last I have a set and the quality is fantastic. |

Are you a JUN spokes person? Last 5 posts you made have been praising JUN. Granted, they are a good company, but they are a bit pricey. I know a few people who have used regrinds with no issues. Its all about the tune. JUN cams can do the same amount of damage as stock cams can if its not tuned correctly.
But yes. JUN is the only company that makes aftermarket cams for the 1nz. Keep in mind, the profile on those are aggressive and you will have to knotch out the head for clearance.

LOL, not a JUN spokesmen but if I'm going to spend money it's only going to be on quality proven parts. (no matter the cost)
I'll be sending my head out to get machined properly and have the full treatment done. |

So what vehicle are you building? Yaris LB, Yaris Sedan, xA, xB?

Web Racing cams can do 1nz cams. If you are concerned whether or not they do good work then all you have to do is talk to ScionCrew on here. They did the cams in his xB that ran 11s or 12s in the quarter running almost 300whp and 20psi of boost. Believe too that his rev limit was set at mid 7000s.

Regrinds are like a band aid or playing russian roulette. It's a hit or miss and always has been, not worth from my own personal experience. Only one way to do a job right.
Some may disagree and not like my opinion but been there and it isn't pretty when things go boom. |

Regrinds are crap, they will never hold up like a billet or forged piece. Regrinds are generally used when something is just not available. In this case the only reason to not use real made and proven cams from JUN, is simply you can't afford them. In such case you really shouldn't be building a race motor to begin with. Because if this one mod will leave you broke than the rest of the build is going to suffer as well. As well as when a regrind brakes so does the rest of your motor and then your just out thousands anyways. So build it right and do it once. This is my own opinion and experience from other imitators like GUDE Performance. I figure if going to do something do it right the first time.

Sure I agree you can still build a good motor with stock cams BUT Definitely NOT better. Cams are the heart of the motor, they dictate how well the motor breaths. And since this thread is about cam options there really is only one choice: JUN . No one else makes a proven reliable set of cams for the 1nz other than JUN. Sure you can still build a decent motor without them but you'll never get to that big boy power without them.

WOW! Regrinds are not that bad. Jun is a good brand but their price on the cams are way too high. Most cam manufactor cam prices are from 800-1000 for a set of cams. so far Jun and WEB cam are the only companys making cams for the 1nzfe motor. I my self would go with Web cam it is a very good company reasonably priced i highly recommend them. My motor has been ranning their cams sense 2005 and havent had any problems. hope this helps call Web cams see if they wil still make them and get a quote
