After the suspension upgrade, start thinking about weight reduction. Always a cheap mod. I like mine without the rear 60/40 and the light weight battery. Just a thought.

I ended getting Tokico blues shocks and struts from Micro Image, and talked to my local toyota shop (not dealership) Weikle's specialty for Toyota's a shop in PA if any one is interested a very good place to take Toyota's. They are installing them for $75. I didn't get springs because roads around here are really bad, maybe later. BTW would springs make any difference? just wondering.Thanks everyone for your input.

Springs will make a difference and reduce the roll in the car...

I have H&R lowering springs on mine, nothing else for suspension setup, and i could feel a difference right away from stock springs....on the freeway i had minimal roll changing lanes quickly in n out...very cool to lower. Go with H&R lowering springs for the Yaris, they are a bit expensive but they dont sag like other springs....I had mine on for more than a year now, and they are still strong :)

Well I got my shocks and struts on today, and well it was a little more than orginally said, it was $180 all together instead of the $75. Besides that the car rides soo much better, I thinK. Here's some pictures of the blues:

Oh and then being so happy about my car, I got a speeding ticket, 67 in a 55 so I'm mad about that because I have a PA CDL, I was in MD, so I all I have to do is pay the fine ($90).

I was thinking about going with the H&R springs, I think they keep the back up a bit higher like in stock form, just lower. that appeals to me ;d
how stiff would you say they are?

Much stiffer than stock ones, ride is more sporty.

Cutie Pie - You dont need to get lowering springs with the Tokico shocks/struts, but mounting the lowering springs w/ those shocks helps stiffen up the car a bit more when switching lanes rigorously on the highway :)

Scape - So far the pics that Kaotic and others have taken of my car, it kind does look like that rear H&R springs to make the back end look look a bit high than other springs, but overall from a side view they dont, imo~
They are very strong (just ask contraband, he's seen them since i got them installed). I have had them on since, spring 2008 :)...my friend, she says she can feel every crack my car goes over on the freeway...lol

I decided to just to do the shocks and struts, I didn't want to lower car any (I like the height of the car ) car rides fine.

Can the stock springs handle the stiffer shocks? Are there stock height springs that are firmer?
Those shocks match the car quite well, BTW!

Just went ahead and ordered the TRD muffler from sparks, I will post pics when it gets on. That's it I'm done with mods for now. And going to try installing it myself, any suggestions on installing muffler would be nice!

TRD Sportivo Dampers are indeed KYB bodies but with TRD valving spec's.
Far from the stock performance of the OEM replacement KYB GR-2's which share the same outer body.

New TRD muffler is installed!! I installed it myself, it took me about 30 mins.

So, I got all the mods, I want to do for now. I really happy with the Tokico Blues, they're great, along with the TRD muffler.
