Charles, how is your idling and low rpm engine response?

Long, idling is as good as stock. Idles a little high when it is cold (1100-ish RPM) but once it warms up it goes back to the 750 RPM or so it was before the kit.

Under about 2 grand the engine feels exactly the same as it did before. From 2,000 to 3,200 RPM you can feel a little kick and hear the turbo spool a bit. From 3,200 on its a frickin' rocket. The turbo sounds like 20 vacuum cleaners under my feet.

Garm, I would be honored to send you the Chinotake.

I believe 750 is above stock idle at a warm idle.

idk, I remember reading somewhere it's 550-650 or something like that (no a/c). Don't quote me on that.

It's different for the MT and AT. It's listed in the service manual.

This is all I found so far for the automatic.

Engine idle speed, (A/C OFF) N position, 650 to 750 rpm

OK, so I'm a little high. Makes sense when you consider the larger injectors and colder plugs, no?

By the way, second tank was 34.1 MPG on Shell 93.

From the Engine Mechanical section of the 2007 repair manual

(5) Inspect the engine idling speed.
Idling speed:
550 to 650 rpm for manual transaxle
650 to 750 rpm for automatic transaxle

NOTICE:
• Turn all the electrical systems and the A/C off.
• Inspect the idling speed with the cooling fan off.
• When checking the idling speed, shift the transmission to either the neutral
position or the parking position.

OK, I'll get an exact reading on idle on my way home from the game.
