does this look totaled?

So this doozy is because A UPS driver made an illegal pass to the left of me over the double yellow lines when i was making a left turn to pull into a parking lot. Since it was a commercial vehicle that hit me its taking a lot more time to get everything resolved, they say it may take up to a month. Just trying to figure out if I'm going to have to search for a new car soon.

Hard to say, but I would guess so. I bought mine as a rebuild (wrecked when only 1.5yr old w/ 35,000km). It needed: hood, rad, condensor, intake manifold, windshield, bumper/cover, headlights, fenders which was enough to write it off. Yours has less damage on front, but more on the sides. If the rocker panel is dented (which is appears to be) I would definitely bet on "totaled".

Most likely totaled. I've seen cars in much better condition totaled and the yaris is a cheaper car so it takes less to total them

There's probably $4000 of damage there if you want to repair it back to factory spec with Toyota parts and have competent labour do the whole thing. Could be more damage to the axle and related parts since the wheel got wrecked so badly, which could tack on another $500 or more.

If it's a base model, it's almost certainly not a worth the insurance company's time repairing it.
