I would replace the whole thing or leave it that way with a drop-in filtre.

With an engine that has compression ratio 11,5:1 we must do something with the induction and the exhaust.
I have installed the tanabe concept-g axleback exhaust, it fits ok except for the longer rubber hangers needed. Very quiet for a tanabe, but far better than the stock one. I believe that with a well designed exhaust manifold, a new cat and a suitable piping, along with an better induction the engine will get probably 20 hp. I hope tuners will start tune the 1nr-fe, even for the IQ and not the yaris. The gazoo racing has tried compressor on the 1nr-fe |

ckiriako: what was the benefit of installing the tanabe exhaust ? is there some increase of the horsepower ? what about the consumtion and sound ?
