I have gotten the same slight grinding going into 3rd when shifting fast. I have both NST SSK's, and have only experianced it at the track. Calming down a little bit has cured the problem without a significant increase in shift times.

Could be cuase if I shift it slow on a high rev it won't grind. Got to work on the calming down thing

Can't do the synthetic Pennzoil GL-4 75W-90 right now. After 2 weeks I called Napa again and they said it couldn't be shipped because it's against UPS's policy to ship oil, grease, etc ...funny, UPS shipped my ENEOS to me, in the ENEOS box, and about $3K worth of AMSOIL products to a friend of mine. I've decided to go with the AMSOIL GL-4. Should be here in a day or two.

bummer , was hoping to see how the PENNZOIL synthetic GL-4 would do for your tranny . Let you and your car be the lab rat . Just kidding , sure it would've performed well . Let us know how the AMSOIL MTG works for you . THANKS

Didn't actually expect there to be such a big difference in the LubroMoly full synthetic GL-5 75W-90 and AMSOIL's GL-4 75W-90, but the shifts now are effortless and smooth as silk.

I can't rave enough about the MT-90. I love shifting through the gears now.

Reverse will get a good test tomorrow morning. The longer the GL-5 stayed in the transaxle the notchier the shifts were getting and finding reverse on the first try was starting to become a joke.

yup , downshifting with GL-5 was a joke , would grind like crazy . Work through all gears as much as possible and drive around in reverse in empty parking lot or back street / road ( people may think you're nuts ) . I leave car in reverse when parked . ENJOY

+1. Shifts better, better mileage. GL-5 has more extreme pressure additives for hypoid gears than can rob mileage.
