a missing Jack in the box

I know this is a rather silly question but, aren't all cars required to be equipped with a Jack for installing a spare tire?

The other night I had a flat and I had to use the spare. I have the lug wrench as well as the other tools that came w/ my Yaris, but I couldn't find the Jack. I don't recall if I took it out for some reason when I first bought the car... but I had no reason to take it out. I'm thinking maybe the factory or the dealer forgot to place one in there???

Did everyone's Yaris come with one? I'm sure you guys have yours there. Where's mine?!?!? lol.

If in fact Toyota forgot to include one, do you think it's possible I can get one from them w/ no charge?

Jack is under the drivers side seat. To get to it slide the seat all the way forward and tilt the seat. There is a plastic cover that you "pinch" two tabs and behind that is the jack. I too thought the same. If you check out the manual in detail it does say where the jack is. First vehicle I've ever owned with the jack under the seat.

yes, unless you've removed both to go faster

owner's manual will ALWAYS be your best friend. it has ALL your bulb sizes, all your tire sized, maintenance fluid specs and recommendations for intervals...

and it tells you how to change your tire in case of emergency
