**UPDATE**

I found the smell while installing tie bars...
There was melting plastic on my exhaust pipe...
must have been a cone at the autox.... thanks for your help/concern guys

whoo nice that you figured it out. maybe one of these days there will be scratch 'n sniff on our computer screen so you know exactly what each thing mentioned smells like
