Wonder why this thread keeps getting bumped, when subsequent milestone threads have been made including 450,000 miles.

Op the original owner Must have never left the driver seat.

300000 miles?

Their job must have been to drive the car.

I did 130000 miles in my old Honda and that took 9 years.

Wow where do you all drive to?

I hate traffic on the 405 in California.
It is horrible.

If you plain on driving in California drive at midnight.

Quite the achievement indeed.

On a related note, as the post above yours (from 2012) stated, subsequent milestone threads have been made. A very recent comment from the OP on another thread indicated he's closer to 550,000 now.

Most of the miles the OP has put on his Yaris (now over 543,000) were from his previous job driving all over Florida as a medical courier.

Another member just hit 300,000 miles. His mileage has come mostly from his commute...from up in the mountains near Asheville, NC to Charlotte, NC and back. The 300,000 on my blue Yaris came from various trips to 48 states and to Toronto, lots of trips between the SF Bay Area and Houston, and driving around the very spread out metro where I live...the City of Houston alone covers over 600 square miles.

I'm in California right now with my silver Yaris. I'm a native Californian, and I understand this sentiment....more validated now than ever, IMO.

CONGRATULATIONS!
Posted my 300,000 mark a month ago. Still going strong doing my 180+ mile commute most every day. Would buy another one but I wonder what they have changed since my 2008. I really believe the engine will make 500,000 but the auto tranny....not sure.

He now has over 543,000 miles on this Yaris and is planning to install a turbocharger

....and it has a manual transmission, not an automatic .

Impressive. That's why I think I'd take the Yaris over the Aygo if it came to the US. I think the Aygo has more character, but it's a European car, and we drive a lot more here in the US. Haven't heard of a 200k mile Aygo.

My Yaris is still alive! Haha, first post in a minute...but my car is still alive and well although it hasn't been driven in about 8 months. The clutch went out and I've bought another toy(motorcycle) and moved to a new town so I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. It's just sitting collecting dust. :(

bought mine used with 99,700 miles

Just passed 100k and it feels solid, like a well built car should. I am getting fantastic mileage. Very pleased with my purchase.

Jeez. I feel sorry for your yaris. At 12yrs, 2mo mine has 108,400 miles. At this rate I'll die before my car does.
