Parking Brake Shoe Adjustment

Hey there I just installed a rear disc brake conversion kit from Garm. Now my ebrake needs adjustment. With this kit there is actually a small drum and brake shoes inside the rotor assembly that only works for the parking brake. I need to adjust my star wheels out by using a brake tool that will go into the drum from the back of the mounting plate for the rotor. My question is, If I need to move my shoes out for more tension, do I push the star wheel or do I pull it towards me with the adjusting tool? I know, I could use trial and error and figure it out but it's easier to just get the answer.

Later....

You might wanna pull your star wheel off and check that it can be adjusted. Mine doesn't rotate.
I just pulled apart the center console and adjusted the tension for the lever. Works perfect now.
I tried adjusting it from the star wheel but it wouldn't move so I pulled the whole brake shoe assembly
apart and disassembled to strut assemble with the star wheel on it and it was 2 pieces, one slides
into the other, making it impossible to adjust. Another option is to use the brake shoe strut from your
original dums. I was gonna do that but I threw them away.

No... if it did, I wouldn't be asking. I'm not looking for sarcasm I'm looking for help.

Thanks Brian for the constructive help !!
