Just bought our 2nd Yaris Auto sedan in 20 months

Hello again everyone -hope you are all doing well and enjoying your Yarii..

Our first ever Toyota-a Yaris-was bought in Aug 07- a new Flint Mica 07 Auto Sedan with Convience Pkg CQ, All Weather Guard Pkg CP and the Yaris Mats-CF.

We paid 13,200 in 07 for it new before taxes, fees etc.

Last week I bought another new Auto Sedan. This time a 2009 Silver Streak Mica/Gray with the exact same equipment for 13,350 after the 1,000 rebate but before taxes, fees etc.

I have a copy of the invoice from toyota to the dealer and it is $459.00 below invoice price 14,809 (before the 1,000 rebate). I think I got a good deal on this one even though I paid $150.00 more than the 07. (I thought I may be able to get an 09 equipped the same for the same or less but no luck after the 3 dealer Bermuda Triangle technique.

On a MPG note: My 07 now has 28,300 miles+ and after 104 fill-ups I am averaging 39.7 MPG after 20 months. My high has been 49.1 (!) and my low has been 33.2. I have had many more 40+ tankfuls between April and Oct and then into the high 30's during the fuel-additive winter fill ups.

Hope evryone is well..I would apprecitae a little feedback about the recent price (13,350) on the new one. Take care everyone.

Thanks everyone for the kind words...I will poost a side by side pic soon of the new silver and 07 Flint Mica Sedan's.

I almost went hatch but again having to take my son (and some of his friends occasionally) I had to get the Sedan and Trunk. Oh well maybe in 3 or 4 years when one of the sedans are moved to one of the boys I'll finally get the HB.

Funny thing is I was going to get the Flint Mica again but decided to mix it up with the Silver. (The silver was on the lot since Nov 08 but the Flint Mica arrived in Feb 09.)

Any thoughts from anyone on buying a car that's been on the lot for almost 5 months?? Thanks-Only had 12 miles on it and 2 of those were mine from the test drive....-Dan

No problems with 5 months on the lot, as long as the battery's OK. Just drive it.

As I've posted elsewhere, I got my wife a new 2007 Yaris Sedan S (Black Sand Pearl), and we just got 2 identical new 2009 sedans except that mine is Barcelona Red Metallic and hers is Flint/Mica Gray Metallic. All w/ AT. Gave the like-new 2007 S to our daughter to replace her 2001 Echo. We really like these little cars!
