So Cal Yaris people - Interested in a track day?

Hey guys, I'm thinking of having a track day at Horse Thief Mile, probably Saturday June 13. This would be a low attendance event, so expect around 4 hours of track time.

Anyone interested?

If I can get around 30 people interested, I will book it.

It will be around $150 per person.

4 hours? Is that enough time? or

Depending on cost, I would be interested.

Yes. Horse Thief Mile is the track above Streets. It is 1.1 miles and it is like driving a mountain road. Lots of elevation change, and it is a good track for the nimble Yaris

Are there extra expenses for you besides renting the track?

Would we fall under "testing and tuning" or "ride and drives"

Ride and drives requires insurance

Yes.

Insurance, flag crew, and fire/rescue on standby all day. With 30 people I'm about breaking even.

I would be taking care of the on track insurance. You have to sign your life away when you enter the facility as well as give them $10.

If you guys are interested AND willing to sign up, please let me know or say so in this thread.

I'd have to do this through PayPal, and need to make a decision in the next week or so.

Excellent! I ran it in my RX7 a couple months ago for the first time. It is a lot of fun, and a good track for the Yaris.

Best to start a list on the first post. Remembering the "Fit vs Yaris" track day disaster though, I wouldn't get real hopeful about getting 30 participants.

I'm not hoping for 30 Yaris participants. I am getting the word out on other forums, so if this happens, expect other cars as well.
