damp engine problems?

today there was a lot of rain
and i didn't run my car the other day so basically it had been sitting at a slightly declined driveway with the engine pointing down for 2 days without being run and in a very wet and humid climate.

I turned it over and it stuggled to keep running smoothly... so I shut it off.
waited a few minutes outside of the car and could smell a burning sort of smell.

second attempt.... started, ran rough.... then eventually stalled....

third attempt, started, ran rough, rev'd it a little and began to run smoothly.

I poped the hood and noticed that my windshield fluid container was open??? I doubt that had any effect,

ALSO there was some smoke (or steam) coming from the back right portion of the engine...

after a whille it stopped and the car ran perfectly....

I guess the engine just got damp????
Any thoughts?

the only thing i can think of is you belt got wet and was slipping so the alternator wasnt giving enough juice to the motor.

the washer fluid resevoir cap works well only if you make sure it **SNAPS** when you close it sucker seals tight.....if you just kinda flap it close and it clicks or something it will pop right back open....

I swear I've typed this before....deja-vu.....weird....I think I need to go to bed....

but nope the fluid won't come sloshing out....

most likely culprit was very small amounts of condensation forming in the fuel lines and causing a partial combustion event in the chambers ( I say this as the car was not run for what, two days, right?)
