I'm pretty sure those things are standard on the sedans in the US. I remember seeing one when I test-drove the sedan. Maybe you just can't find it in the US catalog because you are looking under hatch parts?

I have a hatch and it IS in the US catalog.

it used to be that those under hood blankets were standard on all cars. Not because they kept the engine warm and toasty or dissapated heat from cooking the paint on the hood, though because they were held in with plastic clips that were designed to melt away in the event of a fire in the engine bay so the blanket made of fire suppressive material could smother the fire.

Mine's $58 and about $1 per clip. There's 5 clips, I bought 6. :)

Even with insulation installed the dealer was having trouble getting rid of them, compared to the LBs

I did look at a Scion XD, not the Yaris sedan, that's how I knew the LB was missing one.

Guess the salesman should have educated the Yaris buyers about its benefits then, and showing them that the sedan had one but the LB didn't.
