High Beam Problem

About 3 months ago my passengerside highbeam stopped working, I thought it was just the bulb, I install Sylvania SilverStar Ultra bulbs part #9003SU-2. And the passenger side high beam still doesnt work. any suggestions? Should i just replace the socket or the whole assembly?

I would double check the replacement bulb, as the silverstars are very fragile. If the bulb filament is good, then it is likely the socket (which will be visibly melted or corroded).

Replacement H4 sockets are easy to come by. Most autoparts stores stock them. You will have to cut the existing one off and splice the new one on. Solder and heatshrink is the best way to do so.

It is easier to replace the connector with the headlight removed. which requires disconnecting the top of the bumper, and hence is the perfect time to do the fog light install.

i'm thinking i should probably replace my sockets too. i had silverstar ultras for a couple years and they melted them pretty good! went back to regular headlight bulbs as i couldn't afford to keep replacing them every 6 months or so. fortunately, as bad as those sockets look they still work!
