so not true.. And you don't need to post the same thing 3 times to get your point across.

People aren't going to run over and investigate at the first sound of an alarm, but if someone is acting shady around a car going off, you can bet people will call the cops and/or stop the person. I personally know two people who have had people break in to their car, and the thieves were caught because of the alarm.

Why do you think car insurance companies give discounts for car alarms? Because they like giving away money?

Rolling your windows up and locking your doors only adds about 1.5 seconds to the time needed to steal from you. An alarm is an actual deterrent.

I've had my 09 Yaris for less than 2 weeks...

Today I had parked in an above ground parking lot and as I walked up to the car I see a red light flashing on the dash... DIdn't know I had any anti theft devices at all.. course I haven't read the manual... I noticed the light continued to flash until I started the car or mebbe it was just put key in the ignition..

What does come with a stock 09 CDN CE for theft deterrent?


Gonna have to go find my manual now...

dont think it comes with one stock. prev owner probably added it.
