1st,

You run lower pressure at the track because you have to allow for heating of the tires.
Tires on the track can get so hot you can't touch them barehanded, hence you eventually build to a higher pressure. So you are still running higher pressure on the track once the tires get up to temp. You usually log track tire temps and the corresponding tire pressures so you know where to start cold.

You should never have this much heat in a street tire obviously, unless severely underinflated, or one is driving in an extremely non street friendly manner.

These make the ride for the sedan better and dry / wet handling as well . Got them for $92 each . As for gas mileage , probably a tad better , if not the same as the Bridgestone RE 92s' . The gas mileage has been over 40 m.p.g. for the last 3 fills . This is an automatic .

definetly, i'm not saying that running high PSI in my DD is increasing grip, i'm definetly reducing it but i'm well in control of the car, tho high speed braking at speeds over 100mph is a little darty...i found that out this morning racing a turbo MX6 on the way to work, haha

yes, a good way to prove this is the Indy 500 race this past saturday...the first few laps the cars were throwing sparks until the tires heated up & gained pressure thus raising the ride height of the cars just enough

Could you tell any difference in mileage by increasing it 2psi? I would think the difference couldn't be that much.

not really, but my drives can vary alot depending on how much traffic i hit.

but i did notice the car noticeably handles better & the stability control doesn't kick in & try to throw me off the road anymore in aggressive corners...maybe something to do with these tires. I won't go any higher tho.

i wasn't expecting much of a change either, go figure.
