fnkngrv's Amp and Tube Install

Well after running the rear end of my audio system in a temp solution for a couple years I finally decided to finish things off. I didn't perform a DIY per se as I still only have my Blackberry as a camera, but I do have before and after pictures.

> I started off with the amp install by taking a slide bar from the hardware store and mounted it to the inside of the sidewall of my trunk.
> I then used cardboard to come up with a fitment template for my mounting board.
> I rerouted all my wiring to behind the new mounting board.
> I then mounted my board to the mounting bracket after wrapping the board in carpet that I could find as close to the other color in the trunk.
> I put the mounting board in place and screwed it down with one screw above the amp and one that sits under the amp.
> I attached the amp to the mounting board and reconnected the wires.
> Lastly I removed the cloth straps for my Bazooka Tube and installed the stainless brackets.

The "before" was tacky.

The "after" looks sweet! Nice and clean. Good job.

Does that bass tube give you enough bass?
( I would have taken a totally different route, but I need more bass. )

I like what I have for bass. It is a deep and rich tone. I am actually bumping up I think to slave another 10 off the first one, but really I feel that with how I have my system set up I have very clean and loud sound when I want it. With a tube it generally fills your stage where as traditional subs give you more pound...kind of tough to describe unless you have experienced both in earnest. I have a friend that has 4 BTA's in his trunk of his G6 and it is pretty incredible, but then again he has a lot of wasted space that way and I prefer to at least have some room.

It is a BTA10200, the current gen is a BTA10250 for the sub...

Amp is an Alpine MRP-F250. I did have a PDX however I swapped with someone that needed the PDX more than I did plus with the swap that they gave me I could not pass it up...

Even tho the PDX series is spectacular the MRP series is very clean and has excellent clarity as well. I really don't feel like I downgraded per se.
