exhaust volume
I want a new exhaust that looks good and also sounds loud outside of the car and can't cost to much. What I was wonder is what exhaust is best for sound and price?

keep in mind, if you drive long distances the drone will drive you nuts, if you want loud just go straight pipe... |

I dont have an exhaust, though i baught a muffler and its fuckin loud as i kinda regret puttin it in cuz its really loud though i dont wanna install silencers cuz they look bleh lol. I have to turn up my music so the muffler doesnt block up my ears.
Even when i pick up friends for a night out, they always say to me "you car is loud and i can hear u from up the street!!"

if you want loud, and nice lookinf exhaust, just rip your muffler off...no tail pipe looks better than a big fart can, and it will be louder than any other muffler you will find :)

this might be an odd suggestion / question but theres some awsome sounding street bike pipes that are straight through design. Theyre smaller diameter and approx the same length and same dia inlet... but made for 1000cc not 1500cc... anyway...thats what happens when you watch 'superbikes' at the same time your on the net.

Totally different type of motor so it will not sound the same.
Having a loud exhaust is fun for a few weeks. Then it begins to wear on your nerves. If you want the tuner car look without the drone and rasp you will want to add a nice long resonator. In the end the new exhaust is going to weigh more than the stock system thus negating the 2 HP you gained.

I agree 100% I pulled my muffler off my other car because of the drone, $400 well spent... lol.

I think I'm just going to have my exhaust shop weld up something custom for me, with a Flowmaster Delta 60, they sound tasteful, only slightly louder than stock, but deep, and not so buzzy, and they don't have that god awful ricey drone. I think a 2" rolled chrome tip is a bit more tasteful than the coconut launchers on the civics rolling around town, now my only decision is whether I want to get the regular tip, or the angle cut tip.

Well, don't they look like it? Really, it looks like they've equipped their cars with small cannons.

getting full 2" cat back exhaust tmw with dynomax muffler and a magnaflow tip. getting the resonator cut out because dynomax suppose to be not too loud. I was thinking of going flowmaster but the mechanic said flowmasters are like echo boxes. very very loud. He suggested if I went with the flowmaster, I would have to get rid of the resonator.
