Remote starter install fail
I was installing an RS into a 2008 Yaris. I wired the two data wires wrong for the bypass and think I may have buggered the ECM. I hooked them into the diagnostic plug by mistake and not the 7 pin plug by the ignition. The result now is no voltage showing at the yellow constant power wire at the ignition. The car starts with the key,but with no heater fan or radio. What have I done?

You most likely popped either the 15A AM2 fuse, the 7.5A ECU-B fuse, or the 7.5A MET fuse.

That would be great if were just a fuse. Are these fuses in the engine compartment?

AM2 and ECU-B are. MET is in the fuse panel that is underneath the bottom of the dash, by the hood release lever.

well I've checked those fuses and they are all good. Right now the car starts but there is no cabin fan,stereo,PW,RW defrost,wipers, ac and the shift lock doesn't release. /:?

OK. Also check 7.5A ACC, and 10A GAUGE

Yes, I've checked every fuse inside and outside that car.

Recheck the specific ones I listed as the second group.
On the smaller amperage fuses it can be very difficult sometimes to see the actual break, so checking them with a meter or simply popping a known good one in its place is not a bad idea.

I found the problem. Was a fuse-link somewhere on that ignition power line. I did a work around from another power wire at the fusebox. Thanks for the input CT.:}
