07 Yaris screach
My 07 Yaris hatch back has a loud, high pitched screach only when the car is first started. I have installed a new serp belt and it is pretty tight. The noise is ONLY when starting, not continuous. Any suggestions???

Water pump, alternator, anything driven by the serpentine, check for free rotation of these components. If any of them are tight, that will cause the screech; new bearings will cure the problem if properly installed. Bearings will howl when cold, then quiet down as they heat up...

Mine will do this too. I'm not quite sure what it is, but I think it just picks and chooses when to screech, since ive heard it when its warm and freezing out.
