08 Yaris Rear Wipers [also 08 RAV4]

When i went to replace my rear wiper blade found out it wasn't the HOOK ARM type like the fronts. Its called:
TYPE A ROC LOC 2
Never heard this before all the wipers i have been involved in are HOOK ARM, BAYONET ARM or PIN ARM. Took me a while to figure out how to get the wiper off the arm.
Remove the cover where the arm bolts to the rear hatch.
Lift the arm.
Then lift up on the half of blade that is pointing to the right.
Then you can lift the blade off the round pin on the arm.
Don't think refills will work on the rears unless you go to a refillable after market blade.

How well does the new one that you put on make contact with the window. I recently purchased new rear ones for two of my Yaris and found that the aftermarket ones that I purchased (which were the complete wiper assembly, instead of just refills) don't have exactly the same curvature to them as the OEM ones, so they miss the outer 2-3" of the swipe. I ended up pulling the blades out of the new ones and installing it in the arm of the OEM ones, and now have the complete swipe back. If I remember correctly the ones that I bought were Dayco brand.

The one time (during the 'life' of my Yaris) that I addressed 'refreshing' the effectiveness of the rear wiper, I ended up doing the same thing you did.
