Suspension Cradle

The service department still has our car. Called today and was told that the suspension cradle had to be dropped a little more than normal in order to get to the strut (bolts?). Should we be concerned? Also they said that they would check the alignment and only do it if needed. Thanks

Sounds like they went to check the TSB for the A-Arm bolts and had one snap...

They already replaced the two bolts months ago. They said they were having a hard time getting some bolts loose due to corrosion and rust. The car will be there for 4 days as of tomorrow. They are replacing two struts, one rear shock on drivers side and a stabilizer bar link (?). We haven't been told if any of these have been installed, can't get any answers over the phone. Very frustrating.

Sounds like the "B" team must be working on it.

Got the car back and it still crunches from the front and creaks from the back . It now seems be the passenger side rear shock . They replaced the drivers side rear shock due to leaking . Here's a list of what we think was installed for the front .
1.) 2 Absorber Assy, SH
2.) 2 Bearing , Strut MO
3.) 2 Support Sub-Assy.
4.) 2 Support , FR Suspe
5) 4 Nuts
6.) 2 Seat , FR Spring
7.) 2 Bush , Stabilizer ( Repair for Sway Bar Bracket )

These are printouts of specs for the new alignment on 3/28/14 and previous when first brought in 2/24/14 .

No problem with the '11 Fit at 31,000 + miles (knock on engine block) . We started having issues with the 08 sedan at 20,000+ miles .

What would your next step be if your car still creaked / crunched from the front end and possibly the rear after all this work ?

if it is still under warranty document it and bring it to another dealership. And keeping doing that until you get it fixed.

Took the car for a drive on roads we usually travel and noticed when the steering wheel is level the car pulls to the left . Never had this since new . This is done on level roads . The car also feels like there's more resistance to rolling so have to apply the gas pedal more often . There was very little wind . Last , the crunches and creaks are more frequent and pronounced . May take it to a different shop for an alignment check , some only charge if needed .

What issues could be caused by pulling down the suspension cradle farther than normal ? Would that possibly make the car creak and crunch much more frequent and louder? Or could it be the struts weren't installed properly (bushings) or something else or a combination of all?
