Stock Piston and Rod details

So I have had a few questions as of late about the stock parts since I have had a couple motors apart now.

There are no bushings and neither the pistons nor rods are coated.

Nice pictures, that piston is a bit smaller then i thought lol. I have a few questions if you don't mind, 1: Did you ever have a ring land fail or melt a hole or other destruction of a stock piston in any of your engines? 2: Does the stock rod have a oil feed to the wrist pin?

No problem with pistons. Blew apart a rod into about a half dozen pieces.

Oil feed:

Thanks for the info, gives me lots of insight. The stock piston design is way better than I was expecting so I guess I'l sticking with those. Wish the rod was floating design, but its still good.
