How to make seatbelts softer?

Over time the front seatbelts especially the one which is in the driver’s side, became hard and they are not flexible at all. Is there any way to make them softer??
Any advice is welcome

idk in Greece, but it the USA seatbelts have a lifetime warranty. the thread weave is a safety item; and if you have a complaint about a seatbelt, the dealership should not have any issue getting it to be replaced by toyota. (especially after the recent airbag issues...)

I read on another forum where somebody rubbed a fabric softener sheet against the belt and had some good results. Another suggested rubbing vegetable or olive oil to recondition them.
