Sedan Grill Options
So I think it's time to start the hunt for a new grill on my 08 sedan. I'm looking to replace the stock center bar style grill with one of the open styled grilles.
option A) Anyone still selling the custom one that many members here have? shown on kaotic's sedan option B) Anyone know if the 2009 sedan grill will fit on a 2008 sedan, by eye it appears it would, and if the 2009 grill is available from the dealer yet? if so, price? shown on yogi's sedan thanks... |

I believe cali yaris still has the aftermarket ones in stock. The new OEM ones look like they *should* fit, but I would not be surprised if Toyota made some tiny changes to make them incompatible... See if you can try before you buy...

im also sure the OEM 09 grill would be more expensive and then throw in that i like the looks of the aftermarket one better...
guess I should have just asked if the aftermarket one is still available. Checked Micro Image before I created the thread and couldn't find it listed. |

I got mine from garm and it fit like a glove. Plus when painted properly to match the code it looks as good as stock. I think a 09 grill will be hard to come by right now and deff cost quite a bit more. Id assume youd have to contact your toyota dealership to see about ordering one if they are even for sale, and then seeing if it would fit without any modification.
Garms grill = Great value for price. Hope he has one in stock for you, imo one of the best things anyone can to do a sedan. Totally takes it from that "round bubble looking front" to more of a sporty style.

I'd get the one from Garm. It'll be cheaper, and it'll set you apart from all of the '09 models. Plus, the '09 top grill does not match the bottom grill.

looks like I'm going to listen to you all and get one from Garm...
Kaotic do you still have the DIY you put up before, would make it easier when I actually go to install it. |

I'm going to have to redo it after my finals. If you get it before then, I can send you the pictures, some of which have text instructions, and some don't. I'm actually working on a project right now. LOL. Multitasking ftw!

The '09 grill won't fit older models. Someone else on this forum tested it out, and you'll need the '09 bumper and '09 headlights to make the grill fit.
If you want a third option, check this out - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/06-08...261010010r2755
