changing your fuel filter

If you have high mileage on your Yaris and notice the idle screwing up and the engine dying sometimes ,replacing the fuel filter can fix it. I just did mine and it smoothed it right out.

Thanks for that. People replace things like fuel filters to fix problems but usually it doesnt work.

But this time it did!

How hard was it?

I tried 3 times to remove the plastic cap on the tank under the seat with a special tool and could not
get it to move at all. I had to pay 100 bucks to Toyota dealer to do it.

thats the pre pump screen. The filter is built in to the bottom of the plastic housing and is replaceable
..about 30$.
