Baffle is the MDF ring you use to hold the speakers.

OK, this is my best shot, this would be my best advice from my experience and it's written in my thread some where.

If you go with the 80PRS, the Tweeters on a-pillars, woofer in the trunk and (pay attention here) get the L6 (Midbass) and put them on the doors I assure you will sound much better than the Mids on the a-pillars, I've gone through a big process of comparing and if I where you I would go that way.

PLDs would be in your favor, you will be full active, enjoy the extra width of the stage provided by the L6s down in the doors, since the L6 can play up to 5khz really nice and your tweeters can go down to 5 easily. I do this exercise many times to show how good the L6s are and turn of my Mids, believe me it's true.

So you would suggest me to wait for the L3 and buy the L6 right now...and be 2-way + sub FULL ACTIVE ?

Shipping will be expensive to Canada since it is probably very heavy...

is it the IDQ12V3D4 ?

I had expected 249.99 + shipping as it is on sonicelectronix...

PM me with your price...I am interested....

Yes and no,

My point is that going this way it will have a better stage than 3 way with Mids in a-pillars,

In seconds I can turn off my mids and have a 2 way, it's not as spectacular as the 3 way for obvious reasons (PLDs) but sounds better than my old 3 way with Mids in a-pillars.

my 2cts

No I did not, and I'm not.

Yes, I extended the ground and move them a little up under the dash on both sides.
I may modify the covering in the future with a big opening but right now I have to finish other stuff.

I just took a look at this part of your thread....WOW!! very nice what sqcomp have done with his doors and kickpanel!

That gives me a lot of idea....I'll do like you told me...start with tweeter in a-pillar and L6 in doors!...when I'll be good at fiberglassing I'll kickpanel mids!

You guys are awesomeee

No problem! (O:

That is a Mock-up I made (from foam board) before cutting the MDF baffles.

So your final install is MDF baffle that you have screwed to the body ?

And do you think I should jump on the DEH-80PRS ?

screwed and sealed to create an IB, I cut the metal inside the a-frame to fit the Mid.

on a budget I think a 2 way active the Yaris sounds great!

So if I resume...

L1V1 in A-Pillar as tweeter 5Khz and up
L6 in door as mid-range-midbass..100Hz up to 5kHz
Sub in trunk or some where else...100Hz and less

Powerbass 1100.5X 5channel amp for the whole setup..

Fiberglassing the trunk for sub...fiberglassing A-pillar for tweeter...fiberglassing doors for Mids!

Pionner DEH-80PRS in the deck
