Achievement Unlocked ?

First time making a custom shifter knob.

First time drilling a 250kcmil XLPE aluminum conductor and tapping threads in it.

First time using 3/4 PEX tubing as bushing.

Not the first time doing basement machine work out of scrap supplies.

Now both my rides have matching grips.

What's do you think ?

I like the bike grip shift knob look. There was a guy that posted about making custom ones a while back and I sub'd to the thread in case I ever got bored of my little black aluminum knob. From the pics, looks like you did a great job.

We just re-plumbed our house with PEX, so I knew what you meant right away but was expecting blue or red, not white lol.

We have a 5 apartment building and redid the main water line last winter. PEX 1" from the 1" copper pipe entering the basement. 40' later it splits into a 3/4" PEX to feed a manifold that goes to our first floor cold water and the 5 water heater, all 1/2" outlets. The other split goes vertical 1" to feed the apartments upstairs. We bought 10' bundles for the 1" and 3/4", and since they were getting insulated, didn't bothered hunting down colors.

That's kind of cool.

Although it kind of gives me indigestion seeing an auto in a Yaris...
