Warranty Question?
If i say, forgot that I got a 7 year 100k mile Platinum warranty when i got my car, and assumed that I had a 3 year 35k miles warranty and started modifying my car.
what would make it be considered warranty void?

yea, i figured screwed up there. I didn't realize i had actually bought it when i got the car, and i came across the original purchase agreement from the dealer and it was marked on it. I figure that since i started changing my oil and didn't go the the dealer to do it that it technically wouldn't show as being changed when it should have been so yea, i kind of figured i was, but figured i would ask just in case.

Well the oil changes can be performed by anyone as long as there is a record of it. It is like using any oil that you want as long as it meets API standards. Auto Manufacturers will not state in writing they will not Honor their Vehicle Warranty because of oil and filter usage because they know they will be in Court Monday morning. They like to use a fear tactic since dealerships make money from their service department.
When it comes to suspension, intake, electrical work, etc that has been done is really up to the determination of the dealership that you approach when an issue arises. My local dealership for example told me that changing over to the AFE Stage 2 intake would void my warranty when I did. Personally I have enough faith for the most part in Toyota to not worry about a warranty. I think that if you want to play then you need to have the mindset that you are taking matters into your own hands just like skydiving. If something happens that is negative from the modification then you take ownership of it. On the other I would be a bit disappointed too if I found out I had forgotten I had one all along too.

Fortunately you probably won't need the warranty. Very reliable car. I never buy the extended warranties. I ask the salesman, "What?? This car is going to break? Maybe I shouldn't get it."
