Thinking about buying LED Light bulbs and Projector head lamp
I was just wondering if anyone on here has bought these lights??
If so do they work well ?? Or do you have to do some MOD. ?? I wonder if Garm can get these for me ?? Last edited by LA Yaris; 02-05-2010 at 09:07 PM. |

Me personally i dont like led bulbs in our housing cause it dosnt illuminate the area even with the leds scattered around liek in the picture. If you look at true led tail lights they have many many many leds in a cluster to get the same effect one single regular bulb could illuminate because they only light in a strait beam pattern.
If you put those also in the turn signals you will get that fast blinking effect as if you had a burnt out bulb. Worthwhile leds would be the license plate light bulbs since they are pointed strait down anyways. Or dome light leds that come in a mini cluster. Or trunk leds. I have all of those installed already.

I have those headlights (those in that pic is installed upside down, btw). They're bolt-on HID projectors.
Awesome mod. Garm is getting the G2 or G3 in stock (which are supposedly better than the G1, which I have and the one in that pic). It'll be like $120 more, so it's up to you if you want to spend that much. They're a great alternative to an actual retrofit, but don't expect to outshine most OEM projector HID's out there. |

I'm pretty sure those are the RHD version. Just do the retrofit. It's a lot cheaper.

I think this style has no side turn signals, so it's illegal at least in California. Buyer's choice on that detail of course.

Garm have you seen the OEM with LED'S Tail light ?? It looks just like the OEM one just the Red part has LED'S. Can't find a pic. But i know Hella makes them.
