Mine with new O rings slid in easily.
They looked identical in shape and size. I didn't cross reference the number but did ask for the correct ones at Carquest. I did replace the pins on my 08 some time back and did not experience difficulty. I wonder if it's possible that the boot rubber material was thicker on the aftermarket boot kit I bought. My feeling is that I didn't manage to get the channels of the bracket cleaned out well enough so the boot didn't properly seat.

Oh, and once this most recent set of pins were in, they did slide easily.

This little car has its share of squeaks and creaks, that is for sure. When considering the reliability and dependability, the small niggles are inconsequential. This Yaris is the best vehicle I have ever owned.
