#3: for larger purchases, if you live near the border you can have the package shipped to a UPS Store on the U.S. side where they'll hold it for $5/package. Then you can cross the border and pick it up yourself. Allows you to buy stuff from vendors who only ship to the U.S., saves any and all brokerage fees (not taxes though), and you can declare it worth less if you're feeling ballsy. For Ottawa... ship to Ogdensburg.

My TRD goodies (exhaust, swaybar, shocks, springs) came via USPS from Conecelli Toyota. Canada Post never even charged me for the usual $5 brokerage and no duties or taxes, and delivered it all to my home.
Perfect!!! http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...subcat2=101278

Long but good. The Yaris purred the whole way. A bit of a handful around the Windy City though. Can't imagine how it would have been tossed around without the anti-swaybar doing it's thing.
I must say it was nice to drive some roads with speed limits set for the non-retarded. 75 mph limit through North Dakota. The Yaris just humms along a 85 mph with the cruise control locked on for hours at a time. Even say 65 mph limits on two lane roads. That said my Yaris must have been a bit of a freak in the mid-west. Only saw 2 yaris the whole 5620 km trip. One on the 402 in SW ontario and other at a fuel stop in Flint MI. Other than Camry's not many Toyota's in the mid-west, or Saskatewan either. 99% domestic dinasaurs.

You can always do local GB's like I did for the TRD sway Bar's. You can get some good local deals if you buy in bulk. We got them cheaper than from Sparks, even with exchange!!
