reading your manual

some people should really consider reading there owners manual i no you get answers here can understand but really that manual can make some bath room reading

Well not exactly the user's manual that came with the car since that's all in Thai, but I have read through pretty much all the service manuals in the DIY section of this forum

Have also referred to it several times since to answer questions on how things worked.

I did a cursory reading when I first got the manual, paying more attention to the parts relevant to initial ownership. Now, I refer to it from time to time for detailed guidance as and when necessary, especially when authoritative information/guidance is needed. On the other hand, being able to search for relevant information from various sources, including this forum (that means you all, friends), is also important as far as I am concerned. I have once come across such a quote:

"Knowledge is of two kinds. We know a subject ourselves, or we know where we can find information upon it."
