To get to the filter (which is just a little plastic mesh device pictured below) you have to disconnect the hoses from the fuel tank cover, unscrew it (there is a special tool for it, but I used a piece of hard wood and a plastic mallet to turn it).

Once you get the cover off, you pull out the fuel sender, pull the fuel pump out of the sender and pop the filter off.

The FF isnt part of any scheduled maintenance.

Why do you want to change it?

Yes. It is like unscrewing the cap on a bottle.

At first start after half a day or more , the car Struggling
to start. (only first start)

While you are on it, check the fuel in the tank, if it looks like it is dirty or something, get out of the tank. I had to do it because the fuel here is horrible at some places. I had to change the filter and the car now is great. Just an advice hope you can use it.

Thank you CTScott for detail explaination.. However it would be really helpful if you can explain how to clean the filter or if it cannot then what is the replacement part# to be ordered.

The filter is not really cleanable with its design. The mesh screen at the bottom can be cleaned though by blowing it out with compressed air.

Toyota only sells the filter (the round can part) as an assembly that costs about $160: 77024-52180

You can purchase an aftermarket filter for about $30 (Beck Arnley 0433008)

The threads are very coarse, so it looks like it is going on crooked until you complete the first turn.

My two cents to this.

I got my fuel pump inspected at the dealer earlier this year. They removed the entire fuel tank from the under side of the vehicle and then removed the above assy with a special tool.

One more thing.
Before removing the pump, it would be best to check fuel pressure to see if there is anything wrong.
