The price I'm asking for this kit is more than reasonable. Practically giving it away in my honest opinion.

As far as driving hard I didn't. I just wanted a little extra power on on ramps and passing on freeway. I drove it respectfully.

I know your trying to help crankyoldman but you had the blitz not a PE kit. They are different in a lot of ways.

I wouldn't listen to the crankyoldman if your thinking about buying this kit and worried about having problems. Rotrex units are a Tier 1 performance product and will out last and out perform the best of them. I changed the oil like instructed at 20k and inspected the whole system because I'm anal like that and everything is tip top on it.
Agreed, it's not apples to apples. =) Just offering some insight into why there's not a lot of serious interest in it. If I had the spare cash, I'd pick it up in a heartbeat, but buying a house really slows down the racecar projects.

Good grief, I would absolutely love to buy this. Just can't make a case for sinking that much money into my car when I own a home that could use some upgrades and don't commute for work.

Looks like you have a beautiful package; GLWS!

Interested in this kit. Had some questions. Were you making 150hp at the wheel or engine? What was your average MPG? Did this kit bolt in easily? Any issues? How many hours did it take you to install?

Yeah I'd like to hear your MPG when just driving normally, and not hot rodding.

Mpg increased. More useable power when passing slow traffic or pulling hills. During conservative driving (90% of the time I had it) I'd gain a mile or 2 per gallon if not more.
I didnt have a chance to Dyno so I honestly can't say. It was on the conservative tune from Power Enterprise. Install was a weekend deal. I wasn't in a rush. It can be done in a day. Only issue I had which I fixed was the fact that kit is designed for Japanese 1.5L. Fabbed a extended bracket for the supercharger mount which works excellent. No issues in driveability at all. Ran like a champ.
Kit comes with software via disk loaded with different maps that can be run through PCON. Never messed with them so I don't know to much about that.

I'd also really like to know the effect that it would have on engine life. But that is more of a general question. As in, how long does a turbo engine last, compared to basically the same NA engine? Same for a supercharger. One would assume that it would have to be at least somewhat reduced. Maybe a supercharged yaris would go to 300k miles before it needed to be overhauled, but the NA one would have gone to 450-500k. Before piston rings were worn out or some other major repair was needed.

Cause on a Yaris, the idea of the car was to last long, be cheap, and get good gas mileage. If your mustang or camaro's engine life was shortened by a power adder, well so be it. That was always its function anyway, to be a toy. But a Yaris has a different purpose in life, and I'm generally against going against a vehicle's purpose. Unless there is no harm done in the process.

Therein lies the flaw in that rationale. The driver/owner makes the cars purpose not the factory it came from. Case in point, many Mustangs and Camaros around here are grocery getter and garage queens, never driven in a high performance way. I'm sure those owners would mind the cars engine blowing early.

I use my car as my DD but have done modifications and drive it in a way that reduces its life. To me that isn't harm done as I will just throw a new engine in as needed

Harm is very subjective in this situation and can really only be determines by the owner/driver of that specific car
