Toyota Instrument Cluster and Arduino

Hi, I need help driving an instrument cluster with an arduino unit. It's from a Toyota Avensis (2004 mod.) RHD.
It has 2 connector plugs, white with 22 pins and a blue one with 18 pins.
Here's what I know so far (made a post on another toyota forum, but maybe someone here would know). Here's the Thread.

My question is, what kind of signal should I feed it in order to show RPM and speed? I've found the pins from the diagram, but doesn't mention at all. I think it should be pulse signal, so maybe I should connect it to a PWM hole on the arduino.
What I'm trying to do has been done to a BMW cluster (model without canbus), my cluster does not have canbus either.
I'm trying to hook it up to my sim rig.
Please, if you can help...

Thanks!

Okay, I've given it voltage, it seems to calibrate the needles, same as the yaris, but either the backlight nor the screens turn on.
I have photos of the schematics of the cluster if anyone can help!

Quick update! Check the linked thread from the first post!

I managed to turn the backlight on and drive the tacho with a pulse generator.

Does anyone have a clue on what kind of signal do I have to feed the speedometer in order to react? Ugh, where's CTScott when you need him the most :P

You might want to try some reddit subs for this stuff. Might be able to get some help there.

I recently PM'd him about my airbag light issue after installing my Sparco bucket seats and he replied. He's around, just too busy to spend time responding to thread posts. If you shoot him a PM, there's a chance he'll get back to you.
