This is pretty frikken stupid - Yaris '07 LB auto cruise control

Ok folks, I'm tired of scanning the forums for conflicting info.

What do I need to install cruise control on my 2007 Yaris LB with automatic and power package? Yes, this is a canadian model. Well, technically I have the "Convenience B Package", but that's just a fancy power-package, basically, with OE automatic and A/C.

Now if you look at the TRD-Sparks installation guide, nothing else is listed besides a basic OE cruise stalk (please note: I will purchase the OE panel, so drilling does not apply for me.)

http://www.trdsparks.com/install/000...8Yarisinst.pdf

HOWEVER:

In the cruise FAQ, I'm seeing a crapload more required to install. I.E. 'Wiring to ECM required', 'Extra pins to spiral cable required'.

http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sho...ght=faq+cruise

BUT, I've been pointed to this thread detailing an '09 cruise install, where only the wire and the stalk are listed (screws don't count. )

http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sho...cruise+control

Can someone PLEASE fully clarify which part numbers I need?

06-08 don't have the wiring between the ECM and the steering wheel, so to add cruise you have to make that connection. The document that you linked to is for 2010 Yaris, which already have the wiring in place.

As for the part numbers, they're all listed in the FAQ. If you look at post #12 in it, you'll see an explanation of the difference in part numbers between some of the other threads.

So in my case, all theses below apply to me?

Part Numbers:

Toyota OEM Cruise Control Stalk: 84632-34011

Toyota OEM Cruise Control Stalk Wire (Required to connect the stalk to the spiral cable, within the steering wheel): 84633-42030

Lower Steering wheel cover (with the hole already in it for the cruise stalk):45184-52130-B0

ECM repair terminal (Used to add the connection to pin 40 of connector A21 of the ECM on Yaris where "wiring to the ECM" is required - Quantity 1 required): 82998-24250

Spiral Connector Repair Terminals (Used to add the two pins to the steering column end of the spiral cable on Yaris where "Extra pins to the spiral cable" is required - Quantity 2 required): 82998-12870

Correct - Except for the terminals for the Spiral cable connector - The correct part number is: 82998-12870. I was just double checking it and noticed that I had a typo in the FAQ.

Are there any pictures in any of the OEM stalk install threads that show installing the ECM repair terminal and the Spiral Connector Repair Terminals? Of the pictures I have seen so far, I didn't notice any that visually demonstrated these two aspects of adding CC. I too want to put cruise in my wife's 07 3 door, but not being able to visualize these two steps is holding me back. Hope someone can help.

Here's a DIY I put together on the ECM terminal part:

The clutch switch fill fit if you remove the bolt they've put in there as a stopper for the clutch pedal...

Ok... That visit to the dealership was pretty ridiculous. The stalk alone was within a few bucks of my ENTIRE order on toyotapartscheap.com, including UPS shipping...

Now the anxiety to finally have cruise comes.
