U340e Fluid Capacity w/Strainer(filter) change

Hey guy..

Wondering if anyone knows how much transmission fluid would be needed if one was to perform a drain and refill on the U340e, but also replacing the fluid strainer(filter).

I have read that a drain and refill only is 2.9L, and full capacity is 6.4L..

Thanks all

Correct - Without completely disassembling the tranny and dumping out the torque converter 3L is the max you will extract, even with pulling off the strainer.

Thanks Scott

Also.. Do we check the fluid level (hot or cold) with the car running, or not running?. I read again a few places where for the yaris, some say check it in park and the car running, and other say in park and not running..

Thanks!

For all.. In my case... when I drained the fluid, and then pulled off the strainer and that additional fluid came out.. It took approx. 3.8 liters of fluid to bring the level back to the point where it was in between the HOT marks when I would drive the car for about 30 min and checked the level when the car was in park and idling..

regards
