Will switch rated 15 amps/120 volts AC withstand 15 amps DC?

Will a switch that is rated for up to 15 amps/120 volts AC withstand 15 amps DC?

Thanks,

R.

A switch should be OK. AC only rated relay contacts don't do well with high current DC, but switches are typically fine.
