2009 heater/ac control knobs

Does anyone know if it would be possible to switch out my grey, 2008 control knobs, for black, 2009 knobs?

I called my local Toyota dealer, and he said that I'd have to buy the whole switch/control thing in order to get the knurled plastic, black, cooler knob.

Prices on the three knobs were $48.22, $37.22, and $57.54. I didn't bother to ask which one was which price. I may just buy the cheapest one and see if it works? Unless someone knows it won't work at all.

Grow up would you? I *own* and am very *proud* of that flag actually because I believe in a confederate style of government.

Yay, my first ever person I get to put on my ignore list!

Back on topic again please, let's leave it alone whether you disagree or agree with me.

Looks like you're trying to turn your '08 into an '09. Why don't you just trade it in while trade-in values are pretty good?

This is getting way off topic lol.

I actually want just the rear bumper and tail lights -- I should make that more specific. I don't like the front bumper and headlights on the '09.

...SELL ME YOURS! =]

I've actually been looking to get an '08 front bumper for my '09LB. I like the '07 / '08 LB's front bumper better as well.

When you find out if they fit and the part numbers could you post them.I noticed they were black as well a couple weeks back while sitting in an 09 at the dealership at a car show.they look like they are direct replacements.

How are they totally different?

They're the same size, do the same functions, and are in the same exact place. The only difference I see is that the 2009 is black and knurled on the outside. It's not like I'm buying square knobs and expecting them to fit.

I have a 2007 RS 5door and it has black knobs, I am not impressed that Toyota has made the parts, buy the whole unit not just the part you need. I was questioning the door power window switches and asked if one stoped working can I buy the switch, the dealer said it is the whole unit or nothing. Toyota sells the car cheap than robes us on replacing parts, like I shouldn't realize this conspiracy.

Right, anyways, lol...

Hmm, I wonder if the part for a 2007 would be cheaper? Does anyone else in America have black knobs besides the 2009 crowd?

I just ordered the assembly. Part number 55902-52170, $39.09.

Not bad at all, and if something breaks, I'll always have a spare. Unless someone wants to buy my old knob - if this works that is.
