Issue with intake need help

Hey guys just converted my stock over to the 1zz and didn't plan a head enough to get a intake so i went to my auto store and got those custom intake which is 3" diameter so story short got everything tight but when i start the car it will start than die out? any suggestion. do the maf only read a certain size diameter like the 2zzge and 3sge beams?

I think that i read some where in here that it has to be 2". I did the same thing bought one of those never got it to work properly so I bought one MI.

there's not enough air flow across the maf to register with anything larger than 2". get a reducer or something to neck it down where the maf goes and you should be fine.

it is 2.25 diameter... i did try 3 inch and its a no go! but someone in here got 3 inch to work not sure how though.

to big = to lean,
to small = to rich.
when your messing with diameters make sure you have something to tell you that your car is still running where it is supposed to be.

Yeah, disregard my PM. 2.25 is the correct size I don't know what I was thinking of.

k i got my 3" to work now i just made a 2.25 diameter in front of the maf :D
