Question VIP RS3200+
So I just purchased my 2012 SE on the 20th and the dealer wanted to charge me $900 to install the VIP RS3200+. I found part #08586-53860 online for a fraction of the price, will this work with the '12 models? Thanks for your help!!!

probably the dealer installed alarm. That is an insanely ridiculous price for an alarm, unless it comes with a Gatling gun and shoots people who try to take your car.

But also note you can always negotiate that price down if you really want a factory alarm.

the hell with that... a dealer installed alarm?? for $900 bucks, sounds like you would be getting raped if you got that.

TRD sparks has the system half price if you want it. But still I think aftermarket systems are much better.

you could easily get a clifford or another well known brand alarm system for alot less.

I don't believe that the RS3200+ will work with the 2012, or at least not without some modifications. For example, on the 2012's that have keyless entry, the door control receiver and tire pressure monitoring receiver are integrated, whereas on the 2nd gen they were not.

I believe you're correct on it being in one integrated unit, here's a picture of what the dealer "capped" (there was a blinking blue light before he capped it):

What I am talking about lives behind the glove box. That actually looks like something aftermarket.
