nice find.. one question.. how the hell did that offer end up with 50 cents at the end of $22? Was it that "cut-throat" of a negotiation?

Haha exactly half and not one penny less. What good negotiation skills though. 20 bucks for 4 wheels and tires lol

he had them on for $50 so i offered $30....welp i got hungry on the way to meet him and ended up with $22.50, which he gladly accepted. his ad said two wheels had 50% tread and other two were bald. just some wheels to go play around on. maybe throw some slicks on it.

i should have offered him $18.74

That might be one of the only excuses I would accept for somebody low balling me. "I got hungry" "Well.. alright"

haha. i did feel good about it. my wife tried to argue about it, but i said "woman, $22.50 for wheels AND tires" (she doesn't realize the tires are treadless, but oh well).

oh and that's the only pic i have on here of the home depot lip i put on. it came out alright, but could be better.

Ha! Great find, I think if I found steelies that cheap I'd buy em and get a shop to widen them. Mmm, widened steelies.

Thats how we always got wider wheels back in the day!! Now companies like Bassett and Weld will make you just about any width you can think of.....

sooooo...quick update.

me and 2 friends went pawn shop/flea sale shopping. happened to run across a dirty set of beauty rings that just so happen to fit 14" wheels (pretty lucky).

I asked the guy how much he wanted. He said "$5 and that's a good deal."
I agreed and asked my friends if they had five bucks. one said no, the other pulled his wallet out and showed $2 and said that's all he had (we had just bought a hot-n-ready pizza lunch and sonic drinks and were short on cash). I told the guy sorry that's all we have. He says "Ill take $2, i don't feel like loading them back up".

SA WEEEEET

ill post pics soon. how do you put beauty rings on anyway?
