You can probably go to CTC and get a set of 12 sockets for about twice the price of one socket.

i love metric, 10, 12, 14, 17, 19, 21... every size you need
A while ago I bought this set at CT: http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/6/Tools/Sockets/SocketSets/PRD~0589220P/Mastercraft+128-piece+Socket+Set.jsp?locale=en
It's has almost everything you will ever need. I got it on sale for like 40$, but it's worth the full price imo. It covers everything except stuff like huge sockets for axle nuts and a breaker bar. I highly recommend it.

Yes, just get a set of sockets as you never know when you will need them.
Aso, while you at it, get a set. if combo wrenches.
They don't have to be the best quality (expensive) for ocasional use but, once you need one, you will be very glad you have it!
BTW, e-Bay is good place to search for inexpensive tools.
